Squires Barnett were delighted to be part of the UK’s largest Zero Carbon development, Vista, in Peterborough. The design team developed the competition-winning masterplan and technically developed Morris Homes existing house-type range to ensure pioneering energy efficiency for mass-market developer housing.

A total of 295 two, three and four bedroom family homes, including apartments and detached houses, have been built on the former brownfield site.

Alongside cutting-edge environmental credentials, including solar panels, energy-efficient gas boilers, insulation, and enhanced water efficiency to reduce consumption, this innovative mixed-use development also includes a small food store, a community building and landscaped open space

All of the homes were designed to Building for Life and Lifetime Homes guidelines, and have been awarded a Building for Life Gold Award, the 2014 What House? Bronze Award for Large Sustainable Development and also the Best New Large Housing Development at 2015 LABC Awards.
